Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of Crazy Golf VR (“the app,” “the service”), a multiplayer virtual reality game developed by Harshvardhan Varma doing business as Fiskar Varmations (“Fiskar Varmations,” “we,” “us”). By downloading, installing or playing Crazy Golf VR, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
These Terms work alongside our Privacy Policy, Meta’s Quest platform terms, and the terms of the third-party services built into the app.
Eligibility
Crazy Golf VR is a “Mixed Ages” app on the Meta Horizon Store, for players 10 and older. Players aged 10 to 12 must use a parent-managed Meta account, which Meta requires a parent or guardian to set up and verify. By using Crazy Golf VR, you confirm that you (or, if you are under 13, your parent or guardian on your behalf) can agree to these Terms.
Children under 10 may not use Crazy Golf VR, consistent with Meta’s platform policies.
Accounts and access
Crazy Golf VR uses your Meta account for sign-in and platform features. You are responsible for keeping your Meta account secure and for activity in the app through it. If you think your account has been compromised, tell Meta and contact us. We do not issue or store account credentials ourselves.
Code of conduct
Crazy Golf VR is made for friendly play across ages. Treat other players with respect. The following are not allowed and may lead to removal from sessions, loss of features, or permanent removal from the service:
- Harassment, bullying, threats, hate speech or discriminatory language;
- Sexually explicit, violent or otherwise harmful content or behaviour;
- Sharing personal information about yourself or others, especially about minors;
- Cheating, exploiting bugs, or using unauthorised software that alters gameplay;
- Impersonating other players, the developer or Meta;
- Disrupting other players’ sessions or attempting to deny service.
Reporting and blocking
If you experience or witness conduct that breaks these rules:
- Open the player’s card: point at them and pinch or pull the trigger, or pick them from the Players list in the pause menu.
- Mute or hide them from their card. Any player can do this.
- Block or report them from their card (players aged 13 and older). Report opens Meta’s reporting tool, and Crazy Golf VR honours your Meta block list.
- Email us at HarshvardhanV98@gmail.com with the subject prefix [Report], the player’s display name and the approximate time. We respond within five business days.
- For urgent safety concerns involving a minor, contact local law enforcement first, then let us know.
We may remove players from sessions, restrict features or end access for conduct that breaks these Terms.
Voice chat
Voice chat is available only to players aged 13 and older, based on the age group of their Meta account. When voice chat is on, your microphone audio is sent live to the players in your voice channel; we do not record it. See the Voice chat section of the Privacy Policy for details. Voice chat is covered by the code of conduct, and you can mute yourself or others, or leave voice, at any time.
Child safety (ages 10–12)
For players whose Meta account is in the child age group (10–12), and for any player whose age group is not yet known:
- Voice chat is off and cannot be turned on;
- Typed text is off: no custom display name, room names or message-board posts;
- Display names and room names typed by other players pass through an automatic filter that blocks profanity, slurs, sexual and hateful language, and contact details such as links, e-mail addresses and phone numbers. No filter catches everything, so please report anything that gets through;
- Meta’s social features (friends list, invites, group presence and “Go To”) are off;
- Other players see a generated name and a default avatar, never the child’s Meta name, photo or avatar, and children are not posted to leaderboards;
- Children can play online by room code, Quick Match or the public room browser, alongside teens and adults, with all of the limits above in place;
- Conduct violations involving a child, by anyone, are handled with priority, and we may suspend access immediately while we investigate.
Parents or guardians can review or end a child’s use of Crazy Golf VR through Meta Family Center at familycenter.meta.com, or by contacting us.
Virtual items and purchases
Crazy Golf VR does not currently offer in-app purchases or premium content. If we add in-app purchases, they will be processed only through Meta’s in-app purchase system, and we will update these Terms and give clear notice first.
Your content
When you use voice chat, a display name or room name you type, the message board or other interactive features, you share content with other players. You give Fiskar Varmations a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to transmit and display that content as needed to provide the service. You are responsible for what you share, and it must follow these Terms, the code of conduct, Meta’s platform policies and the law.
Updates and availability
We update Crazy Golf VR regularly to fix bugs, improve performance and add features. Some updates may be needed to keep playing. We do not guarantee the service will always be available or free from interruptions or errors, including after Meta platform updates.
Service discontinuation
If we retire Crazy Golf VR from the Meta Horizon Store, we will give players at least 180 days’ notice before the service shuts down, in line with Meta’s developer requirements, and keep the app playable for existing players during that time as far as technically possible.
Termination
You can stop using Crazy Golf VR at any time, uninstall it, or ask us to delete your data as described in Deleting your data.
We may suspend or end your access, with or without notice, if we believe you have broken these Terms, the code of conduct, Meta’s platform policies or the law, or if your access puts other players (especially children) or the service at risk.
Disclaimers
Crazy Golf VR is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. You use the service at your own risk. VR can cause motion sickness, fatigue and eye strain: take regular breaks and stop if you feel unwell.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Fiskar Varmations and Harshvardhan Varma are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data, arising from your use of Crazy Golf VR. Our total liability for any claim arising from these Terms or the service will not exceed CAD $50.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold Fiskar Varmations and Harshvardhan Varma harmless from claims arising from your breach of these Terms, your breach of the law, or your infringement of another player’s rights.
Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Calgary, Alberta, unless the law requires otherwise. Consumer-protection or class-action rights that cannot be waived where you live are preserved to the extent the law requires.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For material changes we will post the new Terms here and update the effective date. Continuing to use Crazy Golf VR after the new Terms take effect means you accept them.
